Parents and Students, as many of you know, Taft High School underwent many changes this summer due to construction. One of those changes was the installation of new hallway lockers. Unfortunately, the locks students used in previous years do not fit the new lockers. Additionally, students who bought locks at Orientation received the old lock in error. Click for more...

Confused by What You See on the Parent/Student Connection to the GradeBook?

Please be aware that student schedules are in flux throughout the summer months as new students register and new classes are created and/or moved about. Information posted automatically to the GradeBook system can change dramatically on a daily basis and the class schedules you see on GradeBook are not valid or even static until classes resume. On the first day of school students will be given their official course program and it is not until that time that student schedule information in GradeBook will be finalized.

A Dress Code Update From the Principal

I have been the principal at Taft just 44 days and not a day goes by when at least 50 people question me about our 2014-1015 dress code. On an average day I receive over 30 emails asking me to please consider changing it. I have been stopped at Marianno’s, Jewel as well as Dino’s pizza and repeatedly asked to please reconsider, not the dress code, but the mandatory uniform code currently in place at Taft.
