The Taft Alumni Association will be offering three different scholarships for graduating seniors.
- The first is presented by Anastasia Graven, wife of the late Dr. John Graven. Dr. Graven was Taft’s fourth principal, starting in fall 1968, and was later promoted to the CPS general administration. The library at Taft is named in his honor; he was principal when that wing was built in the early 1970s.
- The second scholarship is new this year and is donated by Ruth Artisuk, a popular and inspirational chemistry teacher who started at Taft in the mid-1960s. Mrs. Artisuk has asked that this scholarship go to a graduating senior who plans a science career. To qualify for this scholarship, at least one recommendation must be by a science teacher and you must discuss your interests in future science studies.
- The third scholarship is presented by the Taft Alumni Association.
All applications should be returned to the Taft Alumni Association mailbox, located in the main office, by Friday, April 17, 2017. A copy of the application is available here:
